About
Salava (“willow” in Finnish) is the code name for the open source community edition of Open Badge Passport, a platform developed by Discendum Inc, as a part of the Open Badge Factory project. Open Badge Passport is a service where earners can easily receive, store, display and share their badges.
The goal of the Salava project is to further develop Open Badge Passport as a personal and collaborative learning environment where badges can not only be used to built micro-portfolios but also to support online social interaction between badge earners, organisations and communities of practice.
The Salava open source project is an opportunity for users, practitioners and developers to contribute to the further development of the Open Badge Passport vision.
Salava’s code is developed in Clojure and is released under the permissive Apache 2.0 license.
